"This year we've had a great successful 12 months as a team. We're all so pleased with our achievements, but we've still got work to do this summer. I think, where I am in my part of my career it's been great. I've not really had much to worry about. People make comments but you get on with it and you've got to go out there and score runs. Today I did that but as a team, we had a few starts and I know a lot of other guys would like to go on. But I think we're in a pretty good position on that [pitch]. I think where we finished today is probably around par minus probably another wicket," the veteran opener said.

Coming to the opening Test, Warner kicked off his Test swansong in style with a belligerent century, putting the hosts in a commanding position at 346/5 at the stumps on the first day of the opening Test against Pakistan in Perth on Thursday.

Valli, Du Plessis Make 50 As South Africa 'A' Draw Against India 'A'

Unbeaten fifties from opener Yaseen Valli and Jean du Plessis helped South Africa ‘A' earn a draw against India ‘A' on the fourth and final day of the first ‘Unofficial Test' in Potchefstroom on Thursday. South Africa 'A' made 152 for 2 in 42 overs in their second innings before both the sides agreed to shake hands. Earlier, India 'A' finished their first innings at 417 all out. Earlier in the day, India resumed their first innings from 377 for six with Shardul Thakur batting on 70.

But, he could add only six more runs to his overnight score, before giving a catch to Valli off pacer Evan Jones.

Saurabh Kumar made 22 to take India past the 400-run mark as the visitors ended their first innings at 417 all out for an innings lead of 98 runs.

For South Africa, Jones took four wickets while fellow pacer Siya Plaatjie grabbed three.

The second unofficial Test will begin at Benoni on December 26.

Riding on top-order batter Himanshu Rana's fourth List-A century and a four-for from pacer Anshul Kamboj, Haryana crushed five-time champions Tamil Nadu by 63 runs to enter their maiden Vijay Hazare Trophy final in Rajkot on Wednesday.
